thermometric scales.

They are taken by agreement fixed points at the melting point of ice and the boiling point of water. A thermometer scale will be defined by the temperature values assigned to the two points, accepting a linear variation with temperature thermometer magnitude.

SCALE CELSIUS or Centigrade
The degree Celsius (symbol ℃, ° C in plain text), is the unit created in 1742 by Anders Celsius for temperature scale.
The degree Celsius belongs to the International System of Units, as an accessory unit, unlike the kelvin which is the basic unit of temperature in the system.
Celsius scale defined in 1742 considering freezing temperatures and boiling water, assigning values originally 100 ° C and 0 ° C respectively (so that more calienteresultaba at a lower temperature); It was Linnaeus who invested both points a couple of years later. The proposed, as used in 1724 for the degree Fahrenheit and 1701 Rømer degree, method had the advantage of relying on the physical properties of the materials. William Thomson (later Lord Kelvin) in 1848 defined absolute temperature scale in terms of degree Celsius. At present the Celsius degree is defined from the kelvin as follows:
The temperature ranges expressed in ° C and in kelvins have the same value.
The Celsius scale is used to express the temperatures of daily use, from the air temperature of endless home appliances (ovens, fryers, hot water, cooling, etc.). he is also used in scientific and technological work, although in many cases it required the use of the Kelvin scale.

KELVIN SCALE
The kelvin (formerly degree Kelvin), symbolized as K, is the detemperatura scale unit created by William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, in the año1848, on the basis of the degree Celsius, setting the zero point at absolute zero (-273 , 15 ° C) and keeping the same dimension. Lord Kelvin, at age 24 introduced the thermodynamic temperature scale, and the unit was named in his honor.
It is one of the units of the International System of Units and corresponds to a fraction 1 / 273.16 parts of the temperature of the triple point of water. It is represented by the letter K, and never "K". Today, his name is not to "kelvin" but simply "kelvin". Coinciding increased by one degree Celsius with a kelvin, its importance lies in the 0 scale: temperature 0 K is called 'absolute zero' and corresponds to the point at which the molecules and atoms of a system have the minimal thermal energy. No macroscopic system can have a lower temperature. The temperature measured in kelvin is called "absolute temperature", and the temperature scale is used in science, especially in physics oquímica work.
Also in video and film lighting the kelvin are used as reference color temperature. When a black body is heated issue a type of light according to the temperature at which it is found. For example, 1600 K is the output corresponding to the temperature or sunset. The color temperature of a lamp filament current tungsten is 2,800 K. The temperature of the light used in photography and graphic arts is 5000 K and the sun at noon with clear skies is 5,200 K. The light of day cloudy is bluer, and is more than 6,000 K.

SCALE FAHRENHEIT
The degree Fahrenheit (represented as ° F) is a scale of temperaturapropuesta by Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit in 1714. The scale set as freezing temperatures and evaporation of water, 32 ° F and 212 ° F, respectively. The definition method is similar to that used for Celsius (° C) degree.

Heat.

Heat.

Heat is a form of energy that is always moving, he is traveling hottest at least warm. Heat is energy in transit is recognized only when the border is crossed a thermodynamic system. Once inside the system, or around, if the transfer is from the inside out, the heat transfer becomes part of the internal energy of the system or the surrounding area, as appropriate. The term heat, therefore, should be understood as heat transfer and only occurs when there is difference in temperature and direction from highest to lowest. It follows that no heat transfer between two systems that are in thermal equilibrium

Ways to transmit heat.

.
Radiation: The way to transmit heat by gases or vacuum.

Driving: It is the way to transmit the heat from solid objects THROUGH preferred metals..
Convection: This form has heat transfer as bases liquids and / or gases.

Calor y formas de transmitir calor.

                                 Calor.

Refrigeration.

What is refrigeration?

Understood by cooling, the heat extraction process of an object or a space for later release in a place where it does not affect the environment such.

Applications.

  1. The air conditioning of living spaces, to achieve an appropriate degree of thermal comfort for the habitability of a building.
  2. Food preservation, medicine or other products that degrade with heat. Such as the production of ice or snow, the best medicine organ preservation and transport of perishable foods.
  3. Industrial processes that require reducing the temperature of machinery or materials for proper development. Examples include machining, plastics manufacturing, production of nuclear energy.
  4. Cryogenics or cooling at very low temperatures used to liquefy some gases or for some scientific research.
  5. Machine tools: machine tools, also have built-in cooling and lubrication circuit to pump coolant used is called drilling fluid or oil on the cutting edge of the tool to avoid overheating that could deteriorate rapidly,
  6. Electronic devices: Most electronic devices require refrigeration, usually achieved by a fan that circulates room air where they are located, and sometimes simply by circulating the air by convection.
